The basketball rim's design is waterproof and UV-resistant, with a powder coat paint in traditional orange that ensures long-term durability and prevents chipping or fading from heavy use or outdoor exposure. The rim is connected to the backboard and backboard support using stainless steel bolts, providing long-term strength and anti-rust protection. The breakaway rim design virtually eliminates backboard breakage, as the force-absorbing action and rim mounting design effectively absorb the impact.

The breakaway rim features a double-spring design, which allows the rim to flex down when a player hangs on it and then snap back up when released. Each rim includes two return springs encased inside that compress when 155 pounds or more is added, and then extend to return the rim to its original level position.
